Hannah Jean Salman is an actor, director, and theatre artist from small-town West Virginia. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting in May of 2023 and is now located in the greater Washington D.C. area.

Most recently, Hannah Jean played the leading role of Susan in Frederick Knott’s Wait Until Dark at the Morgan Arts Council in West Virginia.

Some of her other favorite credits include The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Sarah C, original cast) with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival, The Modern Prometheus (Storyteller, original cast), and a virtual covid-safe production of Jaclyn Backhaus’s Men on Boats (Dunn).

She has also voiced several radio plays for Radio on the Lake Theatre, including Bon Voyage (Emma) and Come to the Bank (Miss Moss).

Hannah was the assistant director for Baldwin Wallace University’s production of The Crucible (2022) and directed The Swallows by Kevin King for Baldwin Wallace’s Ten Minute Play Festival in 2023.

Hannah also worked for her university’s prop department, creating/modifying props for their 2022 season. She is trained in both prop and set design.

In 2022, Hannah was an intern for the Contemporary American Theater Festival, working as house manager for their Marinoff Theater space as well as working in their box office.
